Role : Document Controller
Location : Abu Dhabi
Role Purpose:
A Document Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing documents for a particular project or for an entire organization. They ensure that all documents are properly created, signed, stored, backed up/archived, and that any retention policies are followed. They also prepare required formats for daily, weekly, and monthly reports, enhance the documentation systems, and prepare any necessary Word or Excel tables or forms.

General:
- Provide a high level of customer service and care.

- Enhance the documentation and archiving systems.
- Prepare all required tables, forms, and reports.
Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures:
- Analyze and document business processes and problems to develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
PMC:
- Manage the intake, handling, and storage of documentation.
- Develop and implement processes for document control.
- Ensure all documentation meets formal requirements and standards.
- Regularly review and update documents as necessary.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Track and manage versions of documents.
- Retrieve files as needed by company staff.
- Securely backup and store documents.
- Ensure all documentation is discoverable, accessible, and properly organized and categorized.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure all documents are accounted for and correctly located.
- Record, review, and distribute minutes of meetings.
- Monitor regulatory activity to maintain compliance with records and document management laws.
Risk:
- Monitor exposure to risk and compliance within the development advisory department.
Training:
In-house training will be provided.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information management, or a related field.
- Good to advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in document management software and systems.
Previous experience:
- Minimum of seven years' experience working in engineering, construction, project management systems, and documentation.
