Job summary

Top Notch Consultancy in Abu Dhabi seeks a Head of Motor Underwriting to lead our motor underwriting department, report to the CEO, and guide a team of 15 professionals. You will oversee risk assessment, pricing, and policy development to keep products competitive and profitable.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of motor insurance products, and the ability to coordinate with actuarial, claims, and sales functions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or actuarial/science background.
• Professional certificates (FCII/ACII) preferred.
• 5+ years in motor insurance underwriting, with 2+ in management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting of motor policies and ensure proper risk reflection.
• Lead a 15-person underwriting team and train staff.
• Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and sales teams to stay competitive and profitable.
• Develop underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies for motor products.
• Engage with brokers, reinsurance partners, and industry groups.
