The MOE Teacher - Arabic and Islamic Studies role is based in Dubai within the GEMS Education network. You will deliver culturally responsive instruction for native and non-native learners, aligning with Ministry of Education standards and school expectations.

You will support UAE national identity and Islamic values through differentiated teaching, evidence-based assessment, and accurate academic documentation.

Formación

• Relevant degree in Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Education or a related discipline.
• Recognised professional teaching qualification.
• Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Strong knowledge of Ministry of Education curriculum requirements.
• Ability to teach Arabic A and Arabic B learning pathways.
• Understanding of Islamic A and Islamic B curriculum delivery.
• Experience teaching native and non-native Arabic learners.
• Knowledge of differentiated and inclusive teaching practices.
• Ability to support SEN and EAL students effectively.
• Competence in formative and summative assessment design.
• Strong data analysis and student progress tracking capabilities.
• Understanding of Ministry of Education inspection frameworks.
• Confident use of learning management systems, smartboards and digital resources.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong cultural awareness and commitment to Islamic values.
• Ability to communicate professionally with parents and colleagues.
• Organised approach to academic records and inspection documentation.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver student-centred Arabic and Islamic Studies lessons.
• Align lesson objectives with Ministry of Education curriculum standards and school expectations.
• Teach Arabic A to native speakers and Arabic B to non-native learners.
• Deliver Islamic A and Islamic B content with accuracy, sensitivity and cultural awareness.
• Translate curriculum requirements into clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes.
• Use varied instructional strategies for mixed-ability classrooms.
• Incorporate critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity into lesson delivery.
• Adapt teaching methods according to students' language proficiency and academic readiness.
• Support students with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Provide accessible instruction for English as an Additional Language learners.
• Prepare differentiated learning resources, activities and assessment tasks.
• Establish an inclusive classroom in which every learner can participate confidently.
• Plan and administer formative and summative assessments.
• Evaluate written work, oral performance, projects and classroom participation.
• Analyse student achievement data to identify strengths and learning gaps.
• Use assessment findings to modify instruction and plan targeted interventions.
• Track individual and class progress against Ministry of Education expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, progress and academic reports.
• Create a positive, respectful and well-structured learning environment.
• Apply consistent behaviour management procedures.
• Encourage active participation and responsible learning habits.
• Use learning management systems, smartboards and digital applications effectively.
• Develop interactive and blended learning activities.
• Promote UAE national identity, Islamic values and cultural heritage.
• Deliver religious content with respect for student backgrounds and school policies.
• Maintain inspection-ready curriculum files and supporting evidence.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of Ministry of Education regulations and inspection frameworks.
• Contribute to school preparation for regulatory reviews and academic inspections.
• Collaborate with subject coordinators, teachers and school leadership.
• Communicate student progress and learning needs to parents in Arabic and English.
• Participate in staff meetings, curriculum reviews and professional development activities.
• Support departmental improvement initiatives and wider school programmes.
• Follow safeguarding, inclusion and professional conduct requirements.
• Complete additional academic duties assigned by school leadership.
