Job summary

AppliedAI in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate ML Ops Engineer to join our growing team. You will help maintain production, development and staging environments, ensuring reliability, performance and security while supporting DevOps, MLOps and development teams in building scalable AI solutions.

This early-career role offers mentorship from senior engineers, exposure to AWS services and IaC, and the opportunity to contribute to high-traffic, regulated industries within a dynamic startup.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or a similar role (internships and hands-on project experience will be considered)
• Exposure to AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Fargate, API Gateway and Route53
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CDK and/or Terraform) and observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Understanding of security fundamentals and regulatory considerations in cloud environments
• Interest in ML/LLM operations and multi-region deployments
• Experience with containerization and microservices is a plus

Responsibilities

• Help monitor and maintain production, development and staging environments for high availability and performance
• Collaborate with DevOps, MLOps and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Support observability stack and incident response processes
• Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization for high-traffic systems
• Assist with cloud cost optimization and CI/CD improvements
• Support security standards and regulatory requirements across infrastructure
