Job summary

talabat, the leading on-demand food and Q-commerce app in the region, seeks a Senior Manager Data Science for the Global QC Hub to drive ML-driven pricing, forecasting, and operational intelligence. You will own the full ML lifecycle, supervise ML engineers and data scientists, and collaborate with product teams across Talabat and Delivery Hero.

Qualifications

• Expert in both classical machine learning and deep learning.
• Strong experience with classical ML frameworks.
• Strong experience with deep learning frameworks.
• Familiarity with classical data structures and algorithms.
• Experience deploying, and managing production ML systems at scale.
• Experience in recommendation, personalization, search, or logistics problems.
• Experience in process optimization or workflow automation is a plus.
• Strong background in experiment design and statistical analysis, with the ability to run and analyze A/B and multivariate tests.
• Strong causal thinking and hands-on experience with incrementality measurement and uplift modelling.
• Experience with advanced experimentation and causal methods, such as switchback testing, geo testing, MMM, and matching.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire ML workflow from problem formulation to production deployment.
• Lead the experimentation and causal inference practice for impact measurement.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, product and business managers.
• Own data analytics, data engineering, data modeling, and reporting functions.
• Develop, maintain, and manage end-to-end data analysis and ML development processes.
• Drive recruitment and interview of outstanding data talent.
