Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related discipline.
• Experience teaching general Science, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
• Teaching certificate or license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise experiments and ensure safe lab procedures.
• Offer additional resources and interventions for struggling students.
• Grade, record-keeping and other admin tasks.

Science Teacher Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to national and school guidelines.
• Analyzing MAP data to adapt students’ results to their learning to increase students’ MAP scores.
• Drawing up suitable assessments and delivering helpful feedback to students, parents, and other teachers.
• Establishing classroom environments and lab activities that ensure all students achieve the standards-based objectives.
• Setting up demonstrations and supervising students while they conduct experiments.
• Providing extra resources, support, and interventions for students who are struggling to attain the standards presented.
• Grading papers, updating records, and handling various administrative tasks.
• Creating an inquiry-based learning environment.
• Participating in other school activities and regularly communicating with parents.
