You will develop engaging, differentiated lesson plans and curricula aligned with California State Standards and NGSS, collaborate with teachers, and provide timely feedback on assessments.

Applicants should be able to teach students from diverse backgrounds and adapt lessons for varied learning levels.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related discipline.
• Experience teaching general Science, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
• Teaching certificate or license.
• Completed apprenticeship or teaching experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Classroom.
• Demonstrated dedication, patience and flexibility.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and deliver high-quality lesson plans and curricula.
• Analyze MAP data to tailor instruction and improve student performance.
• Provide timely feedback to students, parents and teachers.
• Create lab activities and demonstrations meeting standards-based objectives.
• Supervise experiments and ensure safe lab procedures.
• Offer additional resources and interventions for struggling students.
• Grade, record-keeping and other admin tasks.
• Foster an inquiry-based learning environment and curiosity.
• Communicate with parents and participate in school activities.

Employee responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing engaging, differentiated lesson plans and curricula, based on California State Standards and NGSS, collaborating with teachers, providing timely and meaningful feedback on student assessments, and addressing student performance issues. Potential candidates should be able to teach students from varied cultural backgrounds and be able to create lessons that adapt to various levels of learning within the classroom.

Science Teacher Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to national and school guidelines.
• Analyzing MAP data to adapt students’ results to their learning to increase students’ MAP scores.
• Drawing up suitable assessments and delivering helpful feedback to students, parents, and other teachers.
• Establishing classroom environments and lab activities that ensure all students achieve the standards-based objectives.
• Setting up demonstrations and supervising students while they conduct experiments.
• Providing extra resources, support, and interventions for students who are struggling to attain the standards presented.
• Grading papers, updating records, and handling various administrative tasks.
• Creating an inquiry-based learning environment.
• Participating in other school activities and regularly communicating with parents.
