Job Description
Alfalogic Solutions hires a skilled Exchange Administrator to configure, manage, and support our organization’s email and collaboration environments. This includes both on-premises and Exchange Online (Office 365), Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Microsoft Defender for Office 365, and Check Point Harmony Email Security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and high availability of our Exchange systems, managing mail flow, performance, and security. This role will also involve administering and troubleshooting Check Point Harmony Email Security, EOP, and Microsoft Defender to provide enhanced email protection, anti-phishing capabilities, and advanced threat prevention. Additionally, the role will require overseeing Exchange migrations, integrating collaboration tools, and ensuring seamless communication across the organization while maintaining a secure, efficient, and well-managed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Exchange System Administration:
- Manage and configure both on-premises Exchange and Exchange Online (Office 365) environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Administer mail flow, performance, and system health, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
- Implement and manage Exchange Online Protection (EOP) to protect against spam, phishing, and malware.
- Administer Microsoft Defender for Office 365 for advanced threat protection and secure email communications.
- Administer and support Check Point Harmony Email Security for comprehensive email protection, filtering, and anti-phishing.
- Configure security policies and advanced threat prevention for all email systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to email security, including malware, spam, and phishing attacks.
Email and Collaboration Integration:
- Oversee the integration of Exchange Online with other collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.) to ensure seamless and secure communication across the organization.
- Ensure smooth integration of Check Point Harmony Email Security with Exchange environments and collaboration tools.
Migration Management:
- Lead and execute Exchange migrations from on-premises systems to Exchange Online (Office 365), ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Utilize migration tools such as Hybrid Configuration Wizard, PowerShell, and third-party tools for mailbox and data migration.
- Troubleshoot migration-related issues and coordinate with internal teams for successful execution.
Security and Threat Management:
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents from EOP, Microsoft Defender, and Check Point Harmony Email Security.
- Perform proactive health checks and security scans of the email infrastructure to detect and resolve vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce security policies across all email systems and collaboration tools.
Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution:
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for issues related to Exchange systems, email security, and collaboration tools.
- Diagnose and resolve mail flow issues, performance problems, and user access concerns.
- Maintain detailed incident logs and provide reports for internal knowledge sharing.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate regular reports on the health, performance, and security of email systems and collaboration platforms.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and security policies.
- Assist with compliance documentation related to email security and data protection.
User Support and Training:
- Provide user support for Exchange-related issues, including email access, permissions, and collaboration tool integration.
- Educate end-users on security best practices, such as identifying phishing attempts and avoiding email-related threats.
- Create and maintain user guides or knowledge base articles to assist with common issues.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing Exchange environments, including both on-premises and Exchange Online (Office 365).
- Strong hands-on experience with Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 for email security.
- Experience with Check Point Harmony Email Security or similar email protection solutions.
- Experience with Exchange migrations from on-premises to the cloud, utilizing migration tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with DNS, MX records, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations for email security.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Exchange Server administration (versions 2013, 2016, 2019) and Exchange Online (Office 365).
- Expertise in email security, including advanced threat prevention, spam filtering, and anti-phishing strategies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for email-related issues, including performance, mail flow, and security incidents.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation of Exchange tasks and migrations.
- Familiarity with security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control for Exchange and collaboration platforms.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Exchange Server, Office 365, or related certifications (e.g., MCSE: Messaging, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or related certifications.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar certifications.
- Certifications related to email security (e.g., CISSP, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)) are a plus.
