Microsoft 365 Security Architect & Engineer

Microsoft 365 Security Architect & Engineer equired by Whitehall Resources for a 1 Year extendable project assignment with our client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

* Please note we are looking for candidates already located in the UAE for this position. *

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1 Year
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Delivery: Onsite

Role Overview
Responsible for operational and engineering of secure Microsoft 365 environments across Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD. Drive operations to maintain security compliance against the clients security requirements and relevant UAE and global regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
- Engineering & Operational Tasks
- Deploy Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Safe Attachments, DLP
- Implement Conditional Access, Sensitivity Labels, Purview integrations
- Automate compliance workflows with PowerShell and Graph API
- Monitor alerts and coordinate responses within Microsoft 365 Defender
- Maintain compliance with NESA, IA Regulation, DESC ISR, ISO 27001, NIST CSF
- Enable audit logging, Insider Risk Management, retention policies
- Align tenant configuration to UAE cybercrime laws (Federal Decree Law No. 34 of 2021)

Skills and Certifications
- Mid-Senior Level experience (6+ Years)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security ecosystem (Defender, Purview, Intune, Azure AD)
- Regulatory alignment experience across UAE and global frameworks
- Certifications: MS-500, SC-200, CISSP, Cybersecurity Architect Expert
