Job summary

NFPC is seeking a Microbiology Supervisor to lead the microbiology laboratory, planning and overseeing testing of ingredients, in-process materials, and finished dairy products. You will ensure all procedures meet ISO 17025 requirements and GMP/HACCP compliance, while guiding the team and optimizing testing regimes.

You will manage lab activities, validate methods, and support quality improvements across manufacturing sites, promoting food safety and product quality in a fast-paced dairy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology or Food Microbiology.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role in FMCG or dairy manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of culture media preparation and quality control.
• Working knowledge of ISO 17025, GMP and HACCP.
• Proven team leadership and people management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the microbiology laboratory and oversee testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished dairy products.
• Develop, update and implement sampling plans and testing regimes to ensure product safety and quality.
• Establish test protocols in line with local standards and ISO 17025; evaluate results and decide on retesting.
• Ensure all testing follows approved protocols and regulatory requirements; document findings.
