Financial Returns
• Monitor competitors' activities and assist in marketing intelligence.
• Refer sales leads to appropriate personnel within the InterContinental Hotels Group.
• Sell to new, existing, and prospective customers, considering goals set in the sales strategy, and negotiate optimal rates.
• Manage existing accounts and develop new business opportunities.
• Conduct regular sales calls and market research.
• Travel as required to promote the hotel and develop potential business.
• Participate in sales strategy meetings to maximize revenue.
• Initiate and prepare tenders for business.
• Analyze sales data and marketing activities.
• Assist with seasonal promotions and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Attend industry exhibitions to represent the hotel and attract prospects.
• Manage accounts to ensure continuous generation of new corporate prospects.
People
• Ensure departmental staff performance through the Human Resource Management System.
• Prepare induction programs for new staff.
• Maintain departmental standards and oversee their implementation.
• Conduct training needs analysis and develop training programs.
• Develop staff potential and maintain training records.
• Conduct probation and performance appraisals.
• Coach, counsel, and discipline staff as needed.
• Communicate regularly with staff to foster good relations.
Guest Experience
