Position Description
The Electronics Technician II reports to the Site Manager. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Direct and/or perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance activities on simulation equipment.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing complex electronic equipment, replacing components, wiring circuits, and taking test readings using instruments like digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Possess extensive knowledge of simulator computer systems and operating systems, with the ability to operate independently in a computer-rich environment.
- Have a working knowledge of computer network architecture.
- Be familiar with circuit interrelationships and exercise judgment in planning work sequences and selecting tools and test equipment.
- Fabricate or modify electrical/electronic devices, hardware, or software installations.
- Communicate effectively with Site Management regarding scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and advise on operational impacts.
- Make sound decisions regarding facility operations with minimal supervision in the absence of site management.
- Communicate with site management on all aspects of trainer/simulator operations, including readiness, system quality, and staff capabilities.
- Assist Site Manager or Shift Supervisor with logistics functions and perform MSP inventories as required.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends as per Government Contract requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Site Management.

Position Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years as an Electronics Maintenance Simulator Technician II.
- At least four (4) years of experience in simulator maintenance or equivalent.
- Graduate from a two-year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute, or equivalent; work experience may substitute formal education. With Government approval, equivalent simulator maintenance experience and education may be accepted.
- Preferred certifications include Information Assurance (IA) certifications such as A+ and Security+.
- Must have mental alertness and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to pass a medical examination for OCONUS assignment.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, sit for extended periods, and climb two flights of stairs.
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Ability to adapt to foreign cultures and work with foreign personnel (Saudi Arabia).
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be a US citizen, able to obtain a US passport, and hold a valid driver's license.
- Eligibility to undergo a government security investigation and obtain a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
