EDGE is seeking a Metallurgist to supervise Lab Analysts within the FAMTL and lead reliability and material testing efforts for defence and high‑tech applications. You will review test procedures, analyze results, and recommend changes to ensure product quality and compliance with ISO31000, ISO45001, ISO14001 standards.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Science or an Associate’s degree in chemistry, physics, metallurgy, or materials engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in metallurgy.
• 3–5 years of supervising and/or managing a team is preferred.
• Knowledge of material processes and failure analysis tools (SEM, XRF, XRD) and material testing equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct supervision of all assigned Lab Analysts within the FAMTL.
• Review methodologies for reliability predictions and test procedures.
• Monitor state-of-the-art technology in reliability, maintainability and testing.
• Evaluate data to isolate problems in design and material properties.
• Advise on design changes affecting product quality and reliability.
• Assist in prototyping and fabrication teams on materials issues.
• Perform mechanical testing and metallurgical analysis for weapon systems.
