EDGE is seeking an experienced Metallurgical Lab Supervisor to oversee Lab Analysts at AL TAIF TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and OEM specifications. The role involves leading metallurgical testing, reliability review, and reporting on materials performance under service conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Science or associate’s degree in chemistry, physics, metallurgy, or materials engineering.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in metallurgy.
• 3–5 years of experience supervising and/or managing a team is preferred.
• Knowledge in material processes; understanding and experience operating failure analysis tools such as SEM, XRF and XRD; specimen preparation; and physical material testing equipment.
• The ability to interpret technical data, drawings and engineering documents is required.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
• Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct supervision of all assigned Lab Analysts within the FAMTL while serving as the metallurgical engineering expert.
• Review the methodologies used in developing reliability predictions and test procedures to assess effectiveness.
• Monitor state-of-the-art technology in the fields of reliability, maintainability and testing.
• Review and evaluate data from tests to isolate problems in design, material, and usage factors.
• Advise design, modelling and simulation teams on problems requiring design changes affecting product quality and reliability.
• Provide technical assistance to prototyping and Fabrication Workshop teams on chemistry, forging and heat treatment.
• Perform mechanical testing, analyse metallurgical aspects related to vehicle and weapons system malfunctions.
