Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled Messaging Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in Apache ActiveMQ to join our enterprise technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and scalable messaging solutions for high-volume distributed applications.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, deploy, and maintain robust ActiveMQ messaging solutions.
• Implement message queuing patterns such as point-to-point and publish-subscribe using JMS.
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot ActiveMQ brokers for performance, availability, and reliability.
• Configure message persistence, failover, and clustering in ActiveMQ.
• Develop custom solutions for message delivery guarantees (e.g., once-only delivery, retries).
• Collaborate with developers and architects to integrate ActiveMQ into microservices and enterprise systems.
• Ensure secure messaging by configuring authentication, authorization, and TLS encryption.
• Document architecture, configurations, and procedures related to messaging infrastructure.
• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis related to message flow issues.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and supporting messaging systems, preferably with ActiveMQ.
• Strong knowledge of JMS (Java Messaging Service) API.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (especially Spring Boot and Spring JMS).
• Experience with ActiveMQ configuration, tuning, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with other messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, IBM MQ ) is a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container platforms is desirable.
• Experience with logging / monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience in CI / CD and DevOps pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native messaging solutions.
• Exposure to enterprise integration patterns (EIP) and event-driven architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
