Required for a Leading Facility Management Company in UAE

Position - Mep Technician

Job Summary:

The MEP Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a facility. The technician ensures that all building systems operate efficiently and safely in support of facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out routine and preventive maintenance of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical panels, pumps, plumbing, etc.)
2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults and equipment failures
3. Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of new systems and equipment
4. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns
5. Coordinate with other technicians and contractors for specialized tasks
6. Record maintenance activities and prepare reports using CMMS or logbooks
7. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
8. Participate in inspections and audits of MEP systems and equipment
9. Maintain tools, materials, and workplace in safe and organized condition
10. Assist in energy conservation initiatives and equipment upgrades

Requirements:

1. Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing or related trade
2. 25 years of relevant experience in MEP systems within facility management
3. Hands-on knowledge of HVAC units, electrical wiring, control panels, plumbing systems, pumps, and valves
4. Ability to read technical drawings and MEP schematics
5. Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance procedures
6. Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Multi-skilled or certified in more than one trade (e.g., HVAC + Electrical)
2. Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial facility maintenance
3. Basic knowledge of BMS and CMMS systems
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
