Job description

Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor

Job Location: UAE

Experience Level: Intermediate Level: 5-7 years experience

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties:

1. Preparation of Bill of Quantity (BOQ) based on tender drawing and specification includes all works.
2. Preparation of take of quantity from construction drawing.
3. Coordination of the review of draft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of the tenders are included.
4. Knowledge in initial review of projects, condition of contract, contract documents, specification and design drawing.
5. Preparation of tender documentation queries to consultants/clients to confirm and collect any missing data.
6. Attend technical meetings with contractors and weekly progress meetings if required by the construction manager.
7. Ensure full coordination between all other disciplines/Trades has been carried out for all external and internal MEP services.
8. Preparation of Cost Estimation for MEP Works (Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical) and Pricing, Rate Buildup of Materials, Labor, Plants and other misc.
9. Invite the Quotation from Subcontractor/Supplier, Negotiation and Comparison, ability to prepare pre contract & tender activity.
10. Maintenance and update of Approved Subcontractor/Supplier database.
11. Corresponding with Consultants/Authorities regarding the specification/technical and BOQ any difference to tender requirements and raise queries for clarification.
12. Coordination with planning, procurement, finance and administration cell for necessary documents required for the submission.
13. Preparation of tender pre-qualification item, List of Sub Contractor/Supplier, Cash Flow Chart, Machinery.

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying from an accredited internationally recognized institution or University.

The right candidate should have experience in high rise towers, industrial, residential and commercial building projects.

Experience and Skills:

1. Knowledge of working with MEP based projects as a Quantity surveyor.
2. Ability to recognize contractual obligations of both the company and its subcontractors.
3. Knowledge of POMI and CESMM.
4. Good Experience in AUTOCAD/MS Office and plan swift would be essential.
5. Able to review and measure the executed works.
6. Good knowledge in detailed shop drawing, coordination drawings.
7. Able to act on own initiative and proactive way.
8. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
