Job Description

• Conduct thorough inspections of MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant codes.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions for all MEP systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address quality concerns and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals to verify compliance with project requirements before construction begins.
• Monitor and assess the performance of subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality standards and contract specifications.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee installation processes and ensure alignment with quality assurance protocols.
• Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and checklists specific to MEP systems.
• Coordinate with testing and commissioning teams to ensure all systems are functioning as intended and meet quality benchmarks.
• Identify training needs and provide guidance to staff on quality control best practices in MEP installations.
• Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations to ensure continuous compliance and improvement in quality control practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in MEP quality control and inspection in construction projects, ideally in commercial or industrial sectors.
• Certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent are highly desirable for demonstrating expertise.
• Experience with international standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) related to MEP systems is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus to enhance communication with diverse teams.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to effectively evaluate installations.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in MEP installations swiftly.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in all inspections.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Physical ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and inspecting elevated installations safely.
