An established industry player is seeking a skilled MEP QA/QC Inspector to ensure that mechanical and plumbing systems meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, witnessing tests, and implementing quality assurance procedures on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience. The MEP (Mechanical and Plumbing) QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all MEP systems and installations meet the required contract standards and specifications. The inspector will perform regular inspections, witness tests, and audits to maintain the quality and functionality of MEP systems. The role requires a strong understanding of MEP systems, industry standards, and quality assurance/control processes.
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MEP QA/QC inspection or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. ASHRAE, NFPA, or other industry-related certifications) are preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction codes, and industry standards.
Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with QA/QC software and tools, as well as basic office software (e.g. MS Office).
The role requires working on construction sites, which involves exposure to various weather conditions and physical activities. Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to meet project deadlines is necessary.
Reports to the QA/QC Manager or Project Manager.
