Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC is seeking a dedicated MEP QC Inspector to support quality control across UAE-based oil and gas EPC projects. The role focuses on inspecting MEP works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and client requirements, while maintaining high quality standards on site.

You will individually perform inspections, document records, and witness tests during installation and pre-commissioning stages.

Qualifications

• QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Industrial or MEP projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and quality documents.
• Familiarity with inspection procedures and ITPs.
• Knowledge of international codes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections of MEP works for compliance with drawings, specs and standards.
• Perform inspections for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems during installation and pre-commissioning.
• Verify materials meet submittals and project requirements.
• Witness testing, flushing, pressure testing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with teams and client representatives on inspection activities.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented MEP QC Inspector to support quality control activities across oil and gas EPC projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, and client quality requirements while maintaining the highest quality standards throughout project execution.

YOUR ROLE

As a MEP QC Inspector, you will have the below key responsibilities including but not limited to:

Inspection and Quality Control

• Carry out site inspections of MEP installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.
• Perform inspections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during installation and pre-commissioning stages.
• Verify that materials used on-site conform to approved material submittals and project requirements.
• Witness testing, flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning activities related to MEP systems.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure adherence to approved quality procedures and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, test records, and quality documentation.
• Raise observations and support the closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Ensure inspection records are properly maintained and submitted in accordance with project requirements.
• Assist in compiling quality dossiers and handover documentation.

Coordination and Compliance

• Coordinate with construction teams, QA/QC Engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives regarding inspection activities.
• Participate in site walkdowns and punch list inspections.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, client specifications, international standards, and HSE regulations.
• Support internal and external quality audits when required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• 3-5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Industrial, MEP, or Infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience in inspection and testing of MEP systems.
• Experience working on UAE or Middle East projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with inspection procedures, quality documentation, and construction quality requirements.

Education and Certifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant QA/QC certifications will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of international codes, standards, and inspection practices applicable to MEP works.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of MEP systems, installations, and inspection methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documents.
• Good report-writing and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality concerns.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
