Job summary

Fatherson International in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an MEP QA/QC Engineer to ensure that MEP works comply with drawings, specs and codes throughout the project lifecycle.

You will monitor construction, conduct inspections, prepare documentation, and coordinate with consultants and contractors to drive quality, with strong attention to detail and teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and ELV.
• Familiarity with international standards, local codes, and quality management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures for MEP works.
• Conduct inspections of MEP installations to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and submit IRs, MIRs, and quality-related documentation.
• Review material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
• Monitor site activities and identify non-conformities with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams during inspections and quality audits.
• Verify testing and commissioning activities and ensure records.
• Maintain quality records, checklists, reports, and handover docs.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and support continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project quality requirements.
