Job summary

Fatherson International in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to monitor and control the quality of electrical installation works on site. You will ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, ITPs, and client requirements.

The role involves inspecting LV/MV cables, panels, switchgear, earthing systems, and testing activities, with a focus on documentation and corrective actions to prevent non-conformances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of QA/QC experience in electrical construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITP, MIR, WIR/IR, NCR, Method Statements, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect electrical installation activities at the project site.
• Ensure electrical works comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality checklists.
• Prepare and submit MIRs and WIRs/IRs.
• Inspect LV/MV cables, cable trays and ladders, conduits, panels, switchgear, transformers, generators, and earthing systems.
• Verify cable laying, glanding, termination, tagging, and dressing.
• Coordinate with testing and commissioning teams for electrical testing activities.
• Review test reports and commissioning records.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and quality logs.
• Identify non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare NCRs and follow up on corrective actions.
