Job summary

Consultant Engneers LLC seeks a capable MEP Inspector to supervise contractor on-site, ensure compliance with plans, specs, QA/QC and HSE procedures, and manage daily site documentation.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with at least five years of post-graduate experience, and proficiency in MS Office and CAD. English communication is essential; Arabic is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD.
• Strong English communication skills; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise contractor on-site and support design elaboration per specs.
• Review submittals such as method statements, materials, and shop drawings for contract compliance.
• Monitor contract documents and project plans for conformity.
• Perform field inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Submit daily site logs and track day works progress.
• Ensure adherence to HSE and QA/QC requirements.
• Conduct final site walk-down and identify deficiencies for correction.
• Review project closeout documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The MEP Inspector shall work under the direct supervision of Resident Engineer at designated site and perform the supervision of Contractor’s work.

This position will provide on-site construction inspection and applicable documentation for construction projects. This includes observation of construction and maintenance work activities for compliance with plans and specifications, preparation of required contract documentation, and following prescribed Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures consistent with Local Agency Guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fulfilling tasks of Site Supervision, such as inspect Contractors onsite installation works, support on elaborating design and as well as following up thereof implementation according to specifications and drawings.
• Review Contractor’s submittal such as method statements, materials / technical submittals, shop drawings, etc. to ensure compliance with Contract Documents.
• Review all essential contract documents and project-specific plans and monitor contractor compliance.
• Perform field inspections as required and maintain inspection records.
• Submit daily site logs to update the team.
• Monitor and record site progress and keep record of day works of assigned projects.
• Ensure that the Project HSE and QA/QC requirements are followed.
• Conduct a final site walk-down and identify major & minor deficiencies for correction actions.
• Review of Project Closeout Documentation.
• Perform other project duties as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements
