MEP Engineer: High-Rise UAE Projects (RAK Relocation)

Job summary

Rakhat Construction seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee the installation, coordination, inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for high-rise tower projects in Ras Al Khaimah.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years UAE construction experience, strong drawings interpretation, and the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines to meet project requirements while ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE construction experience.
• Experience with high-rise tower projects is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise MEP installation works on site (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, low-current).
• Review IFC, shop, MEP coordination drawings, submittals, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate MEP works with Civil, Structural, Architectural, QA/QC, Planning, consultants, and subcontractors to avoid clashes, rework and delays.
• Ensure MEP installations comply with drawings, specs, contract requirements, and UAE authority regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Raise and follow up on RFIs, technical queries, site instructions, and design discrepancies.
• Review and monitor MEP material requirements, deliveries, and installation sequences per programme.
• Coordinate and support testing, commissioning, and handover activities for all MEP systems.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, snag lists, and other project documentation.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with drawings, specs, method statements, QA/QC, and HSE procedures.
• Support resolution of technical issues on site with practical engineering solutions.
• Assist in project close-out activities, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranty documents, and testing records.
