Job Description

• Gain a detailed understanding of contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, MEP systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, and project schedules.
• Validate design issues related to MEP and propose alternative solutions.
• Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittals.
• Log and update all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings.
• Assist in scoping, budgeting, and justifying MEP change work orders.
• Assist in the installation of MEP systems.
• Direct, monitor, and control MEP subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate and administer MEP-related materials, systems, and shop drawings.
• Liaise with consultant MEP supervisory engineers, inspectors, and relevant staff.
• Ensure MEP subcontractors provide and adhere to relevant quality documentation and records.
• Ensure MEP subcontractors comply with project safety regulations.
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP equipment.

Desired Candidate Profile

• University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics related to MEP.
• Familiarity with construction procedures and practices.
• Proficient in computer applications.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
