Job summary

Parsons in Dubai, UAE seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to join our team and independently perform field engineering tasks, including development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods for a designated project area.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years of field construction experience, and strong communication skills. CAD familiarity and leadership on projects are essential; relocation to site locations may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises construction engineering work and provides technical expertise for disciplines.
• Supervises Construction Inspectors; ensures tests are performed and documented per procedures.
• Coordinates all contractors' activities for the assigned area.
• Collaborates with construction management to address hazards affecting safety and environment.
• Maintains liaison with design engineering staff and reviews drawings for correct execution.

Job Description:

MEP EngineerDubai, UAEParsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to independently perform all aspects of field engineering assignments including development of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems for an assigned project, or a designated area of a large project.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Performs difficult and very complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
• Maintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within his/her discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Supervises the construction engineering work and provide technical expertise for one or more of the construction engineering disciplines, as well as survey personnel.
• Supervises Construction Inspectors, ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
• Monitors and coordinates all contractors' activities for assigned area.
• Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
• Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in field construction.
• Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.
• Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to construction site locations.
• Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
• Interfaces with the client and upper-level management.
