Job description

Role & responsibilities

Excellent grasp of engineering and design principles
An In-depth knowledge of ASHRAE, CIBSE, Plumbing codes, UAE Building codes -DM and DCD codes
Hands- on experience in Kitchen, Hospital and Specialty Laboratories cooling and ventilation requirement
Duct and piping design and HAP expertise.
Electrical design knowledge - DB and LV Sizing, Cable sizing etc as per DEWA or ADDC regulations
Proficient level in building information modelling (BIM) and CAD, to create design and construction drawings.
A self-starter, who have delivered project designs independently.
Preparation of working drawings, shop drawings and details according to our methods including: Floor plans, elevations, Construction Details, Furniture layouts
Prepare detailed shop drawings by doing a through site survey and capturing the levels of each and every services very accurately.
Produces all shop drawings, details drawings, sections, elevation, plan, Isometric, sketches, typical detail, etc and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using computer-aided design programs (CAD) and hand-drawing skills
Review/complete all quantity take-offs for projects ranging from conceptual estimate to definitive estimate.
Maintain documentation room for efficient drawings storage and retrieval.
Operate and maintain the health of plotter & copier machines, which are relevant to drawing office

Preferred candidate profile

Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering and certifications in CAD and BIM
With at least 4 years work related experience in a Consultancy, Electromechanical or Construction company managing design responsibilities
Auto CAD 2D & 3D, MS Office Packages
Proven Track Record in projects completion.
Overall 5 years experience, out of which minimum 3 years in Middle East projects.
