POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the Assistant Marketing Manager is the voice of the hotel and will be responsible for assisting and executing all Marketing, PR, and Social Media projects and initiatives. This role includes updating and maintaining all channels, both internal and external customer-related sites for The St. Regis Abu Dhabi as requested by the Director of Marketing. The candidate must understand and comply with the policies and procedures of Marriott International and perform the duties and responsibilities of the position as outlined.

Managing multiple projects simultaneously will be the norm, and the candidate will need to successfully coordinate with internal teams, external clients, and guests to provide excellent customer service through modern technology and social media channels.

The Assistant Marketing Manager will also have sound creative skills and will be responsible for adapting branded design templates to the local business, including digital platforms, as well as creating new concepts, event management, and support for Sales and other presentations. They will assist and coordinate photography and video production for the hotel when required, liaising with the Graphic Designer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Under the guidance of the Director of Marketing, research and identify specific pieces of collateral required to support the sales process.
  • Assist with developing and implementing Communications support strategies.
  • Respond to media inquiries and information requests for The St. Regis Abu Dhabi.
  • Research and seek innovative Communications opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Marriott’s international PR network.
  • Coordinate and host incoming international media groups and individual visits to the hotel.
  • Assist in leading “conversation culture” with the Marketing Coordinator within the hotel team.
  • Take full responsibility for the creation of a monthly newsletter.
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met for newsletter editions.
  • Maintain positive online resort presence by managing website and social media pages.
  • Respond to reviews on TripAdvisor and SPG and provide weekly reports.
  • Post creative and engaging content daily for all social media channels.
  • Review third-party websites to ensure accuracy of information about The St. Regis Abu Dhabi.
  • Display professionalism in appearance, character, and conduct.
  • Exhibit effective interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and creativity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to flexible working hours.
  • Manage Local Property Sites and ensure Brand Standards compliance.
  • Update key digital platforms and implement best practices.
  • Share monthly insights on production, trends, and channel analysis.
  • Motivate St. Regis Abu Dhabi associates to embrace Social Media.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

License or Certification: None
