Job summary

Fatherson International in Dubai is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to align mechanical, electrical and plumbing services with architectural and structural designs for high-rise projects.

You will review shop drawings, identify clashes, and coordinate with design engineers, contractors and site teams to ensure installations follow approved drawings and project specs. Strong BIM skills (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks) are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Diploma/degree).
• Experience coordinating MEP for commercial/high-rise buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; Navisworks knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural drawings.
• Review MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings.
• Identify and resolve clashes between MEP systems and building services.
• Prepare and review coordinated drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Conduct clash detection and BIM coordination using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Liaise with design engineers, consultants, contractors and site teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure proper routing and installation of ducts, pipes and cable trays.
• Attend coordination meetings and follow up on technical comments and site requirements.
• Review site conditions and ensure installations follow drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and prepare as-built drawings when required.
• Monitor MEP work progress and support site teams in resolving conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety requirements and project standards.
