Job summary

Fatherson International Fze seeks an MEP Coordinator to manage coordination of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting services with architectural and structural drawings. You will review shop drawings, identify clashes, and implement coordinated drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

The role requires strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills, plus knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority requirements. On-site work in Dubai is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in MEP coordination for commercial buildings, residential towers, or high-rise construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority requirements is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; Navisworks knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP services with architectural and structural drawings.
• Review MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and builders' work drawings.
• Identify and resolve clashes between MEP systems and other building services.
• Prepare and review coordinated drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Conduct clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools.
• Liaise with design engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure proper routing and installation of ducts, pipes, cable trays, and other MEP services.
• Attend coordination meetings and follow up on technical comments and site requirements.
• Review site conditions and ensure installations follow approved drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and prepare as-built drawings when required.
• Monitor MEP work progress and support the site team in resolving installation conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and project standards.
