Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking an MEP Delivery Lead in Dubai to take full ownership of MEP on a live data centre project. You will coordinate with CSA, manage subcontractors, and ensure commissioning readiness from design through handover.

Responsibilities include enforcing schedules, reviewing design deliverables, supporting tender evaluations, and producing weekly executive reports. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' MEP construction/delivery experience, including 3+ years on data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge across electrical, mechanical, cooling, fire and BMS systems.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Experience coordinating CSA/MEP interfaces on live construction sites alongside commissioning teams.
• Strong subcontractor management and progress/quality verification skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce the MEP portion of the baseline schedule, tracking variances and risks before they hit the critical path.
• Enforce subcontractor look-ahead schedules (2/4/6-week) and reject unverified progress claims.
• Review MEP design deliverables for constructability and installation sequencing ahead of IFC release.
• Support tender evaluation and validate subcontractor programs and resourcing before award.
• Manage day-to-day MEP subcontractor performance, quality and safety compliance on-site.
• Resolve CSA/MEP coordination clashes at execution level, working from the shared issue log.
• Coordinate with CSA and MEP site managers/foremen to clear obstacles, via frequent, escalating site visits.
• Ensure MEP works are handed over installation-complete and commissioning-ready, aligning construction sequencing with the commissioning schedule.
• Support the Commissioning Lead in closing punch-list/snagging items ahead of test windows.
• Produce a fact-based weekly executive report on MEP schedule, quality and risk status.

The organization is currently on the lookout for an MEP Delivery Lead to take full ownership of MEP delivery on a live data centre construction programme, from design coordination through installation, testing, and handover. The ideal candidate will resolve CSA/MEP interface issues on-site, manage subcontractors, and coordinate closely with the commissioning team to ensure works are handed over commissioning-ready, reporting directly to the CTO with clear executive visibility.

• Proven experience coordinating CSA/MEP interfaces on live construction sites, alongside commissioning teams
• Strong subcontractor management and progress/quality verification skills
• Fluent English; Arabic advantageous
