Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. is seeking a senior Bloomberg Intelligence FX Strategist to lead coverage of the Middle East and GCC currencies from Dubai. The role focuses on macro regimes, flows and regional dynamics, while contributing to global quantitative FX research.

You will develop cross-market models, analyze policy and market drivers, and collaborate with BI strategists worldwide to deliver differentiated, investment-relevant perspectives for Bloomberg’s clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience analyzing, researching and/or trading foreign exchange.
• Strong knowledge of Emerging Markets currencies and macro factors that drive FX markets.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative analysis and translate market data into investment conclusions.
• Strong understanding of global and EM macroeconomics and FX markets.
• Experience with financial datasets and analytical models.
• Exceptional research, writing and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to build relationships with market participants across regions and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead BI's research coverage of MENA and GCC FX markets with timely macro, policy and capital-flow analysis.
• Develop differentiated perspectives on GCC currency regimes and monitor sustainability and market implications.
• Analyze cross-regional investment flows, hedge-fund positioning and local market dynamics.
• Develop and maintain quantitative models, datasets and tools to identify FX drivers and trends.
• Contribute to cross-market spot FX models and FX-options analytics for G10 and EM research.
• Produce flagship research and timely analysis in response to major market developments.
• Collaborate with BI strategists and analysts globally to connect regional FX with broader macro themes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with investors, traders and market participants to expand BI’s FX research reach.
• Leverage Bloomberg data, analytics and AI to improve research efficiency and explore new analytical approaches.
