Job description

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Medical Oncologist to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a Medical Oncologist, you will play a vital role in caring for cancer patients by providing expert diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive treatment throughout their cancer journey.

Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating complex cases, developing individualized treatment plans, and integrating care with a talented team of multidisciplinary professionals. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic assessments to accurately diagnose cancer
  • Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care management
  • Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment protocols based on response and side effects
  • Engage in collaborative decision-making with other specialists to ensure holistic care delivery
  • Communicate treatment options, potential side effects, and outcomes to patients and their families in a clear and compassionate manner
  • Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to contribute to the advancement of oncology
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical standards and regulations

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
  • Successful completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Medical Oncology
  • Board certification in Medical Oncology is mandatory
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in oncology
  • Deep understanding of current cancer treatment modalities and clinical guidelines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on team collaboration
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
  • Active medical license and ability to practice in the state
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
