The Client:
Our client is an international healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, known for delivering high-quality diagnostic and clinical laboratory services. They are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician holding a valid Department of Health (DOH) license to join their growing medical team.
The Role:
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the accurate and timely processing of laboratory samples, contributing directly to patient care and diagnosis. You will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a wide range of clinical tests across hematology, microbiology, biochemistry, and immunology.
- Ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage of specimens in compliance with DOH regulations.
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and troubleshooting technical issues when necessary.
- Recording, analysing, and validating test results with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Adhering to internal quality assurance procedures and safety protocols at all times.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinating with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure seamless diagnostic support.
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling patient information and lab results.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Valid DOH (Department of Health) license to practice as a Laboratory Technician in Abu Dhabi.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic center.
- Solid understanding of laboratory testing techniques, equipment, and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with local regulatory standards and safety compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
