Job summary

Abbott Laboratories UAE is seeking a Medical Advisor in Established Pharmaceuticals to support oncology therapies from our Dubai office. You will engage with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals, provide evidence-based medical information, and ensure compliant scientific interactions across the UAE region.

Qualifications

• Degree in health sciences (M.D./PhD/PharmD or Life sciences degree).
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry, oncology, minimum 2 years (Oncology experience mandatory).
• Preferably prior MSL experience.
• Understanding of Gulf region healthcare/pharma dynamics and regulations.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic a plus.

• Ensure activities comply with local/global laws, regulations, codes of conduct and Abbott policies.
• Report adverse events to pharmacovigilance within 24 hours.
• Develop scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders and HCPs through evidence-based communication in oncology.

What You ll DoI

Compliance

Ensure that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local global and national laws regulations guidelines codes of conduct Company policies and accepted standards of best practice

Ensure to report any adverse event or safety concern to the pharmacovigilance department within 24 hours II

Stakeholder Interactions -Development of scientific partnership with Key Opinion leaders and HCP through evidence based communication and education medical information on oncology product and therapeutic area - Ensure regular interaction with KOLs 4-5 visits per day - KOL mapping categorization and developing action plan for each KOL throughout the year after aligning with direct manager Setting at least 2 action plans per KOL per year KOLs identification based on preset selection criteria Develop KOL list map at least 10-15 TA across UAE Kuwait Qatar Oman Bahrain territories -Provide scientific and technical support for and help maintain professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers to ensure access to current medical and scientific information on the oncology therapeutic area as per Abbott policy and country regulations -Deliver credible presentations and education related to the oncology TA and clinical evidence of products to HCPs individually or in groups meetings clinical sessions etc where requested -Participate in the selection process to identify appropriately qualified physicians the Company would wish to engage in collaborative efforts such as potential research collaborations or lecture meeting support Round Tables Congresses Symposia etc and to ensure a high level of scientific or educational integrity in these collaborative efforts Selection process should not be influenced with prescribing behavior of the HCP -Attend relevant Scientific Societies meetings and Conferences and develop summaries of key messages for use within the Company such as key areas of scientific company interest new trends in diagnosis monitoring and treatments in the therapeutic area etc -Provide key opinion leaders and internal medical with scientific and technical support for publications of scientific or medical interest -Identify and develop local speakers and upgrade to regional and global level - Support in the inclusion of new products

Required Qualifications

• - Degree in health sciences (holding M.D, PhD, PharmD, Post graduate degree in Life sciences or related is an advantage)
• - Experience in pharmaceutical industry, specifically in oncology not less than 2 years (Oncology experience is mandatory)
• - Preferably previous experience in MSL role
• - Through knowledge and experience of the dynamics in healthcare system and pharmaceutical industry in the Gulf region.
• - Effective communication and presentation skills
• - Act as team player
• - Analytical and critical thinking skills
• - Fluent in English both written and spoken. Arabic is a plus.
