Job description

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Strategy and Planning
  2. Develop and manage the implementation and update of the section related policy, procedures manual, delegation of authority, systems user manuals, standard forms, and ensure compliance across the Authority, aligning with ADAA's policies and procedures.
  3. Develop and manage the implementation and update of the section's strategic, budget, procurement, and operational plans, ensuring alignment with departmental and sector strategies, ADAA's mission, and vision.
  4. Ensure effective cascading of the department's and sector's strategies and objectives, along with ADAA's mission and vision, into the section's plans to achieve overall goals.
  5. Develop the section's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with ADAA's objectives and ensure their achievement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Operations
  7. Contribute to the development of ADAA's Strategic Communication Strategy reflecting the department's vision.
  8. Manage and lead the preparation of an annual communication plan in collaboration with relevant units, including events and awareness campaigns.
  9. Oversee media activities such as graphic design, photography, videography, infographics, and animations to support ADAA's official communications across print and digital media.
  10. Manage ADAA's brand identity, including logo, signage, layouts, greeting cards, calendars, posters, brochures, and banners, ensuring alignment with branding standards.
  11. Talent Management and Development
  12. Achieve operational goals through effective leadership, setting objectives, managing performance, and motivating the team to maximize performance.
  13. Monitor training plans to ensure team participation in development activities for continuous improvement.
  14. Conduct performance evaluations based on KPIs, review progress, recommend corrective actions, and support overall objectives.
  15. Manage team workload through delegation and foster capabilities, especially of UAE National employees, to develop a motivated, high-performance team.

  17. Ensure adherence to all ADAA policies, procedures, and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety).
  18. Manage and review section correspondence for professionalism and accuracy.
  19. Handle records management, including retention, documentation, and archiving, according to policies.
  20. Address section-related queries and provide necessary support to ADAA units and employees.
  21. Promote the use of relevant technologies to optimize work efficiency.
  22. Uphold ADAA's values, Code of Business Conduct, and ethics to foster a values-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in communication, media, or a relevant field.
  • 8-12+ years of relevant experience in marketing and communications.
