Job description

Mechanical technicians requires urgently for a reputed cement company in Ras Al Khaima

• Responsible for carrying out maintenance of all mechanical machinery allocated to him with good quality and respecting the time schedule.
• Responsible for carrying out, on time, all the scheduled inspections / maintenance allocated to him, in consultation with his superiors.
• Take responsibility for self and advice co-workers to strictly adhere to the policies, procedures and instructions set for the organization
• Responsible for constantly up-dating his superior on work progress and result of defects observed, inspection carried out pertaining to his field of operation and should be in a position to locate and organize spares in the absence of the superior.
• To ensure the safety procedures laid down by the organization (ensuring the safety of self and colleagues all the time within the factory premises) and is responsible for housekeeping of areas related to his field of operation.
• Is responsible for maintaining tools and tackles in good working conditions and has to ensure their proper use.
• Should be prepared to work in both general shift and shifts as directed and as per the requirement of the company.
• Should be willing to work on overtime, if a need arises, according to the overtime rules of the company.
• Should be willing to take up any other incidental job allocated to him as and when required by the organisation.

• Secondary school
• Vocational Knowledge (general and specific)
• Specific knowledge of Cement plant machinery.
• Basic knowledge of Cement manufacturing process.
• Good knowledge of general mechanical maintenance activities such as fitting, machining, welding, mill right, rigging etc.
• Along with the multi maintenance skills he should preferably possess
• specialized skill in one or more of the following :-
• Advanced fitting, complicated welding, Precision machining, maintenance and
• operation of utility equipments.
• Knowledge of basic safety requirements and all safety procedures of RAKCC.
• Ability to identify defects and troubleshoot during scheduled inspection and running inspection of equipments.
• Ability to read and understand general mechanical drawings.
• Identify and locate spares and tools and tackles and also to organize them during
• the absence of foremen.
• Training attended in Cement Industry (Specific to his job role).
• Language skills Basic English (written & spoken)
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Cement industry in a similar position.
• Human Relations Skills
• Ability to listen and understand instructions.
• Good team work spirit
