Job summary

Americana Company seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join the Maintenance team in Dubai. The role requires 7–9 years in poultry processing or food manufacturing, with a focus on ensuring mechanical integrity and efficiency of plant equipment, including high-speed packaging machines and related systems.

The technician will maintain and troubleshoot Ishida, Sandiacre, metal detectors and modular conveyor belts across Processing, Preparation and Packing areas, while adhering to

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–9 years of mechanical technician experience in poultry or food manufacturing.
• Experience with high-speed packaging machinery and related equipment.
• Familiarity with food safety standards like HACCP or ISO 22000.
• Strong preventive maintenance and record-keeping ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and maintain poultry processing machinery including ovens, fryers and conveyors.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance; lubricate and inspect bearings, belts and gearboxes.
• Respond to machine breakdowns quickly; identify root causes and repair components.
• Ensure all work complies with hygiene and food-safety standards; document audits.
• Assist in installation, alignment and commissioning of new lines; coordinate with vendors.
• Complete work orders, update spare parts usage and handover notes.

2. 2 Preventive Maintenance PM Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per maintenance plans nbsp Lubricate mechanical parts using food-grade lubricants nbsp Inspect bearings chains belts sprockets shafts seals and gearboxes nbsp Replace worn or damaged parts before failure occurs nbsp Maintain PM records and logbooks accurately nbsp
3. 3 Breakdown amp TroubleshootingRespond immediately to machine breakdowns to minimize production losses nbsp Identify root causes of mechanical failures nbsp Repair or replace faulty components such as nbsp o Motorso Pumpso Valveso Pneumatic and hydraulic systemsTest equipment after repair to ensure safe return to operation nbsp
