Job summary

A leading UAE-based services company is seeking a Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair equipment at the Mirfa 2 Reverse Osmosis Water Plant. The role involves daily inspections, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in RO desalination plants. Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills are essential. This position requires the ability to work shifts and in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in RO desalination plants.
• Hands-on experience with rotating/static equipment and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of ASME API and ASNT standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily mechanical maintenance inspections and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Participate in commissioning site observations and warranty activities before plant operation.
• Maintain and repair RO plant systems including pumps, pressure vessels, filters, valves, heat exchangers, and cranes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company safety rules.
• Use CMMS to complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Support contractors and coordinate with other departments for maintenance activities.
• Respond to plant emergencies and call-outs as required.

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining and repairing plant mechanical equipment at the Mirfa 2 Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Plant to ensure maximum reliability efficiency and availability. Supports commissioning activities before commercial operations and performs planned and corrective maintenance in line with OEM guidelines safety procedures and best engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily mechanical maintenance inspections and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Participate in commissioning site observations and warranty activities before plant operation.
• Maintain and repair RO plant systems including pumps pressure vessels filters valves heat exchangers and cranes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards company safety rules and permit-to-work systems.

• Support contractors and coordinate with other departments for maintenance activities.
• Respond to plant emergencies and call-outs as required.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Mechanical Technician preferably in RO desalination plants.
