Job description

Seeking a Mechanical Technical Lead to oversee in-field operations, procedure reviews, and work planning. Responsibilities include conducting walkdowns, reviewing manuals and drawings, identifying required parts and support activities, optimizing outage schedules, and providing technical support during refueling outages. It is a staff role based in the United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Performs In-Field work area walkdowns of mechanical work. This work may include manual and remote operated valves; centrifugal or positive displacement pumps; heat exchangers; piping repairs/replacement; fluid or charcoal filter changes; minor turbine work. Both preventative and corrective type maintenance.
  2. Procedure and Work Instruction reviews to ensure sufficient detail for technicians to perform quality work. Review materials and tools needed to complete the assigned task. This may include consumables as well as component specific materials and tooling.
  3. Review OEM manuals, prints, drawings, and exploded view diagrams to identify needed parts.
  4. Identify needed support activities such as scaffolding, rigging/lifting, insulation, painting, etc.
  5. Perform schedule reviews to identify the most efficient strategy for accomplishing work during refueling outages.
  6. Provide technical support, if needed, during refueling outages.
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. Minimum of 5 years industrial Mechanical experience, or an equivalent number of years of education and experience.
  2. Familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily mechanical maintenance duties.
  3. Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic or electric.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  5. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  6. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
