Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections of mechanical installations including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and method statements to ensure proper execution of works.
  • Prepare and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality checklists, and related QA/QC documentation.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, and clients for inspection and approval of mechanical works.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure materials used at site are approved and comply with project requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor quality performance and adherence to contract terms.
  • Support testing and commissioning processes of mechanical systems.
  • Maintain proper documentation for QA/QC reports, material submittals, approvals, and as-built records.
  • Attend quality-related meetings and provide inputs regarding improvements and compliance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, MEP standards, and local authority regulations.
  • Previous experience working with contracting companies is highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, etc.) in building projects.
  • Familiar with international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC reporting tools.
  • Must be presently residing in the UAE.
