Job summary

Freesia Electromechanical Works Contracting in the UAE is seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Mechanical to manage and coordinate mechanical works on construction projects, ensuring execution aligns with approved drawings, project specifications, and the overall programme.

The role requires strong UAE project experience in residential, high-rise and villa developments, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and building services, and a track record of coordinating multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in MEP construction projects.
• Experience with residential, high-rise and villa projects is preferred in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and mechanical building services.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and MEP coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day mechanical MEP activities at the project site.
• Supervise HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and other mechanical installations.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical documents.
• Coordinate mechanical works with Civil, Electrical, Architectural and other MEP disciplines.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers for technical and site requirements.
• Ensure mechanical works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications and applicable UAE standards.
• Monitor site progress, manpower, materials and productivity.
