Position:

KBR is looking for a Mechanical Manager for a PMC project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

1. JOB PURPOSE:

Provides mechanical engineering leadership and guidance to the team in greenfield LNG projects, focusing on rotating and static mechanical equipment and package engineering. Supports engineering management to ensure robust design delivery by EPC contractors, adhering to contract, basis, schedule, and budget.

During the execution phase, manages review and assurance of the mechanical scope of work of the EPC contractor, ensuring contractual compliance, safety, and quality. Coordinates with stakeholders and manages multiple work fronts to ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards.

3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:
  • 20 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries, including at least 5 years in the GCC region. Must have a minimum of 3 years in a similar position in LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical projects.
  • Skilled in all aspects of mechanical engineering, including rotating and static equipment (heat exchangers, pressure vessels, filters), and cryogenic storage and loading packaged equipment.
  • Capable of reviewing equipment requisitions, datasheets, and specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of ADNOC operating assets or similar facilities.
  • Experience in assess, select, and execute phase studies, including scope of work, SOR, and design basis documentation, detailed engineering, and procurement.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of operational integrity processes within Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS).
  • Awareness of process safety and hazardous area requirements.
