Job summary

confidential is seeking a Senior Estimation Engineer in the UAE to lead cost estimation for oil and gas projects. You will review drawings and specifications, perform take-offs, and drive price accuracy across onshore and offshore scopes.

You will work with project teams, procurement, and vendors to build robust estimates, maintain databases, and support bids and risk reviews while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of estimation experience in oil & gas, onshore and offshore.
• Mechanical Engineering certification mandatory.
• Knowledge of oil & gas industry standards, regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication to stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• English fluency; additional languages are a plus.

• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in estimation within the oil and gas sector, preferably with exposure to both onshore and offshore projects Candidates with no MEP experience will not be considered.
• Professional certifications in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Aspen, Primavera, or similar tools) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in calculations.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced industry.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus, especially for international projects.
