Job summary

Remote DXB seeks a scholarly Mechanical Engineering educator to deliver courses, supervise labs, and coordinate units within the Engineering program in the UAE. You will mentor students, engage in industry partnerships, and contribute to research through publishing.

The role requires a PhD (or near completion) and 3–5 years of higher education teaching experience. Responsibilities include developing course material, delivering lectures and workshops, moderating assignments, and guiding students

Qualifications

• Earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or in closely related field (or currently in final stage).
• 3–5 years of teaching experience in higher education.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, ANSYS, SolidWorks, MATLAB, and DFM-related applications.
• Solid track record in academic publishing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development of course material.
• Conducting lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, and student field excursions.
• Unit coordination including assignment moderation.
• Marking and Assessment Invigilation.
• Consultation with Students.
• Undertaking administrative functions as required.
• Maintaining an active research portfolio.
• Overseeing the delivery of the Engineering program.
• Providing academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Developing and maintaining partnerships with industry and community organizations.
