Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems used in desalination, sewage treatment, and water purification plants. The ideal candidate will have experience with pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels, and mechanical equipment used in water and wastewater treatment applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, and maintain pumps, valves, piping networks, and pressure vessels for water treatment facilities.
  • Oversee the design and operation of mechanical systems in reverse osmosis desalination plants, sewage treatment systems, and wastewater recycling facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and optimize system efficiency for treatment processes.
  • Work with HVAC, ventilation, and thermal management systems in treatment plants.
  • Collaborate with electrical, civil, and process engineers to integrate mechanical systems into treatment facilities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new mechanical installations and system upgrades.
  • Provide technical documentation, reports, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide plans for preventative maintenance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the water treatment industry, including desalination, wastewater treatment, or sewage treatment plants.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical system design.
  • Experience with pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels, and rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance and reliability engineering in treatment plants.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
