Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 10 years UAE experience in MEP construction & site supervision.
• Proven experience in industrial and steel-structure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage & firefighting systems.
• Good knowledge of UAE codes, standards and Abu Dhabi regulations (ADCD, TAQA).
• Experience in reviewing shop drawings, submittals, method statements & technical submissions.
• Excellent communication, coordination and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and quality standards.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements, ITPs and other documents for compliance.
• Carry out site inspections, verify workmanship, identify non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Contractors, Consultants, Clients, and authorities to resolve issues.
• Monitor construction progress and prepare inspection reports and progress updates.
• Ensure mechanical works align with project quality plans, safety requirements, and authority regs.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
• Report directly to the Site Resident Engineer and perform related duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Review and evaluate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and other technical documents submitted by the contractor to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Carry out site inspections of mechanical works, verify workmanship and material compliance, identify non-conformances, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Contractors, Consultants, Clients, and relevant authorities to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Monitor construction progress and prepare inspection reports, site observations, and progress updates.
• Ensure that all Mechanical work is executed in accordance with project quality plans, safety requirements, approved procedures, and authority regulations.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
• Report directly to the Site Resident Engineer and perform all Engineering, supervision, inspection, coordination, and related duties assigned to support the successful delivery of the project..

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in MEP construction and site supervision.
• Proven experience in industrial and steel structure related projects
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing and drainage, firefighting systems, and external utility services
• Good knowledge of UAE codes, standards, and authority requirements, including ADCD, TAQA, and other applicable Abu Dhabi regulations.
• Experience in reviewing Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Method Statements and Technical submissions.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.
