Description

Stantec is looking to hire an Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrument Engineer for a Sewage Treatment Plant in Dubai.

This role is for a project where the authority in Dubai requires the rehabilitation of an existing Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to enable it to perform at its highest possible efficiency and to extend the plant to be able to receive and treat up to approximately 435,000 m³/day. The selected candidate shall have extensive experience working in local sewage treatment plant facilities, along with a proven ability to manage and supervise construction works and optimize the operation process within the existing STP in accordance with the specifications.

Responsibilities include:

1. Rehabilitation / Repairing of Civil Works
2. Extension of the Plant to around 175,000 m³/Day
3. Rehabilitation of existing 260,000 m³/Day STP

Qualifications

The Mechanical Engineer must have:

• A relevant degree from a recognized university.
• At least 15 years of thorough knowledge and work experience in equipment and control systems within sewage treatment plants.
• Full knowledge of existing work systems within Dubai Municipality sewage treatment plants.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical equipment, and instruments within STPs and pumping stations.
• Experience in designing infrastructure works.
• Experience dealing with emergency works and coordinating with Dubai Municipality and other infrastructure authorities.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera 3.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• The capacity to make decisions.
