Qualifications

• Recent graduate or engineer with up to 2 years of experience in HVAC/MEP is welcome.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D shop drawings and MEP drawings preferred.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE/SMACNA standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: assist in daily inspections for HVAC installations.
• Drawing & Design Support: prepare AutoCAD shop drawings and diagrams.
• Material Management: track deliveries and inspect equipment on site.
• Testing & Inspection: participate in TAB and site inspections with consultants.
• Safety & Compliance: support HSE procedures on site.
• Documentation: maintain daily logs, RFIs, and progress reports.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Junior HVAC / Mechanical Engineer to join our site engineering team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a fresh graduate or an engineer with up to 2 years of experience looking to build a strong foundation in MEP construction, HVAC installation, and site supervision.

Working under the guidance of Senior Mechanical Engineers, you will assist in site execution, reviewing shop drawings, monitoring sub-contractors, and ensuring HVAC installations comply with design specifications and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Assist senior engineers in daily site inspections to monitor the installation of HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems.
• Drawing & Design Support: Prepare AutoCAD shop drawings, schematic diagrams, and material submittals against project specifications and local codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA).
• Material Management: Track site material deliveries, inspect incoming HVAC equipment for quality, and prepare daily site progress logs and quantity take-offs.
• Testing & Inspection: Participate in Joint Site Inspections with client consultants and assist during the testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of HVAC systems.
• Safety & Compliance: Support site safety compliance by ensuring technicians and subcontractors strictly follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols.
• Documentation: Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, site queries (RFIs), and maintain accurate project record logs.

Software & Drafting Capabilities

• AutoCAD (Critical): Must be able to read, edit, layer, and modify 2D MEP shop drawings, duct layouts, and piping schematics.
• HAP (Hourly Analysis Program): Basic exposure to Carrier HAP or Elite for entering room dimensions and wall materials to estimate cooling loads.
• MS Office (Excel/Word): Intermediate Excel skills for preparing quantity take-offs (MTO), site daily reports, and inspection logs.
