Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Dubai.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site supervision and technical support for all electrical engineering aspects of the project. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and contract specifications.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for individual housing units. This includes power distribution, lighting, and any other relevant electrical installations within the homes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations in the country where the project is located.
  • Coordinate with national utility providers (electricity, water, gas, etc.) to ensure smooth and timely connections for each housing unit. This includes liaising with utility companies, reviewing their connection procedures, and ensuring compliance with their requirements.
  • Review and approve electrical shop drawings and material submittalfrom contractors and subcontractors to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress of electrical works and ensure adherence to approved plans and schedules.
  • Inspect and test electrical installations at various stages of construction, including but not limited to: wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, and grounding systems.
  • Investigate and resolve any electrical-related issues or defects that arise during construction, including coordination with contractors to rectify any deficiencies.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of all electrical inspections, tests, and non-conformances. This documentation will be crucial for project tracking, quality control, and potential future reference.
  • Ensure the safety of all electrical work on site. This includes implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any safety hazards identified.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team on all electrical-related matters. This may include answering technical questions, resolving design conflicts, and assisting with the interpretation of electrical drawings and specifications.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
