Job summary

AESG in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to deliver safe, durable, and high-performance mechanical designs for complex projects.

You will work on HVAC, chilled water, ventilation and smoke management systems, applying UAE codes and using Revit, AutoCAD, HAP, IES VE and Hevacomp to drive sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Membership of a professional institution (CIBSE, ASHRAE, IMechE or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Mechanical Building Services Design.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC codes and regulations related to mechanical design.
• Proficient in design software listed (Revit, AutoCAD, HAP, IES VE, Hevacomp).

Responsibilities

• Undertake mechanical engineering calculations and system design for all project stages from concept through detailed design.
• Develop designs for HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, and smoke management systems.
• Produce technical reports, calculations and engineering studies.
• Support equipment selection and system sizing.
• Develop energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with project briefs and client requirements.
• Deliver mechanical design packages in line with project programmes.
• Coordinate design activities with stakeholders and attend meetings.
